Competitive Blogging

April 23rd, 2009 by james

A year ago, Fresno’s blogging scene was fairly sparse—as evidenced by the lineup in the inaugural Blogger Olympics, only a few pioneers had claimed notable stake in local online real estate.

This year’s roster is a bit more mixed, with several new faces (mine included). I’m not a very competitive person, but place your bets*: I shall reign victorious. Scheduled competitions include skee ball, putt putt, wii bowling, fowl language and consumption of adult beverages.

The competition is not without controversy, but self-described “blog wars” are merely a distraction. To my fellow bloggers: I will shut you down. Like Sammy shut down Fresno Rock Taco.

I imagine that there will be no shortage of photo and video capturing my dominance.

*I do not advocate for gambling, unless a portion of the earnings are slipped to me under the table.

About James (R.) Collier

My thoughts are somewhat random, as I still don't know what I want to be, when I grow up (if you've got any ideas, I'm open for suggestions). For now, I'm resolved that somewhere inside of me there's an artist, suppressed by a fear of someone else's perception, unwilling to accept the thought of being unaccepted.
